Keep in mind that if you have bought some antiques, it is forbidden to take them out of the country without a special permission and tax payment. Carpets as well as other popular craftwork items made before 1960 are classified as antiques. You can avoid, however, paying tax by getting a certificate from Culture Ministry. This certificate is delivered along with the purchase in stores. Don’t hesitate to ask about it if the vendor hasn’t delivered it to you.
