Cork, Ireland
I’m planning to go to Cork in Ireland next year, around May or June. Any tips or things to see? Places to go? I should be going for a long weekend. Like 3 nights. Thank you :)

You can get from Dublin airport to downtown by common city buses number 41, 41b and 102. But this way is the slowest one. Getting quicker is easy on half express Airlink. Its ticket costs 6 euros but reusable tickets are valid for it as well. So, if you are planning to use frequently public transport, you should buy such pass in advance.

There is a good deal of various passes in Dublin. The most convenient option is to buy the Rambler ticket offering daily capping. This means you can travel as much as you like in a single day, three days or five days. But there’s a catch. If you have a three-day ticket, you won’t be able to use it during three consecutive days. On the other hand, it’s a good opportunity to alternate travels and walking. These tickets can be bought at the Dublin Bus shops.

If you are looking for eating out on a budget, head to Beshoff. However, the most delicious lamb and a pint of Irish beer can be found at the Quays Irish Restaurant. The portions are ridiculously big, so you can share a meal. Another place where you can eat on a budget is Luncheonette situated in the building of the National College of art and design or NCAD. The soup costs 3 euros and mint tea – 1 euro. Besides, this is a good opportunity to talk to future designers, artists and sculptors and to try something unusual like, for instance, the lemon pie without flour. Dublin, Ireland Pay exact sum of fare to the driver. Otherwise you will receive a receipt instead of change which you would have to bring to the Dublin Bus office on O’Connell Street and get you money. The only exception of this complicated rule is Airlink buses.

Visit the Tourism office situated in the church of St. Andrew on Suffolk Street. Here you can get help, buy tickets for public transport and pick up maps.

In Dublin you don’t need to order something at cafés to use their Wi-Fi. All you have to do is ask for a password and enjoy it.
