Hi guys,
Myself and my wife are traveling to Jerusalem on the 6th of February and we would love some tips about local bars, restaurants and exchange culture as well!
We have an instagram for trips @travellerspelomundo and we would love to meet some local to understand more about the city and share with our followers
Every big city of Israel has a market where you can buy food at very nice prices. In Jerusalem it’s the Mahane Yehuda market and in Tel Aviv it’s the Carmel market. You can make especially beneficial purchases at Karmel on Friday in the afternoon, right before Shabbat.
It’s better to negotiate a “fixed price” with taxi drivers before your journey. This is especially important when there are several passengers or luggage. Otherwise the taxi driver may double the price.
From the central bus station in Tel Aviv you can leave to Haifa and Jerusalem even at night and during Shabbat by shared taxi called “monit”. But keep an eye out, this is not the safest district in Tel Aviv.
